Long story short, 7 years ago I married the woman I thought I’d be with forever, 4 years later she had a life changing medical procedure that almost killed her and she lost most of her memory from before the surgery. I tried my best after the surgery to get us back up and going financially and took a step (what I thought) in the right direction for our future. However I got the bombing of the word divorce shoved in my face recently and I was determined to fix whatever issues were causing this. She didn’t even give me a chance or tell me what I was doing wrong. After a long conversation leaving the bar Easter Eve, and a lot of yelling and screaming about the issues, she finally spoke up about my faults, to little, to late. The small things were more important to her such as: taking out the trash, helping with laundry, cleaning the house, going out on the weekends more. I admit I got lazy throughout our relationship and stopped doing a lot of this. I was just so burnt out working that I just wanted to come home and relax, or game with the boys, and pushed my Home responsibilities out of the way, and i admitted it and wanted to make that change for the sake of our marriage. NOPE. Apparently it’s to far past that and divorce is inevitable. The woman I loved and cared for, gone. All because of the little things. There is much more I feel is missing to this, but being so fresh and emotional I felt this was a good place to seek guidance in my journey.
