What are you appealing? The judge's ruling? Was it based on accurate information? Can you prove bias? I did not see your first post, but if you're simply appealing a shitty decision with no basis for why it's unjust, you might not get very far.

Pay what you think is reasonable and let the court with a new judge sort out the situation on appeal. You can do this pro se. It's not hard now that the messy part is over. An appeal is much simpler and cleaner now that you know what you are dealing with. The commissioner in the family court may look at you favorably doing the work yourself.

Instead of wasting your time on the appeal, simply don't pay spousal support, let your ex file another case to collect and then appeal it was unfair and you cannot pay

Hi, I remember your post, I felt for you, and could not believe what that judge got away with, I'm not in the US but know a little bit, I always thought that there decision has to be based on the rule of law, and then you go on precedent and things like that, and his decision didn't sound like he was using that system, Anyway if there's a chance that I could get more time with my kids I would jump at it, don't worry about the cost as which isore important to have the time with your kids and get some of your future money back of your ex, she defiantly does not deserve. Good luck I hope you can overturn that judge's decision and stick it to your EX by getting a fair outcome.

You know, in your original post that you referenced you did not include any of the relevant information. Regardless of the fact that whatever we think is irrelevant and you don’t have any money to pay for an appeal, asking strangers on the Internet to believe that you were unfairly ruled against when you didn’t include any information like how long has your wife not been working? How much do you earn, how much does she earn, how many children do you have? How old are they? What state are you in etc.
