Before the wife and I split up, I decided to sell a house I had used as a rental property for the last ten years. We were only married for 8 months. She told me when she left me, that she would be going after half of it. I signed the papers today to sell it, closes Friday and I net about 390k after taxes. During the signing, the title officer asked me about a phone call I had made the week prior to her office seeking to know the name on the title and how it was listed. Then I shared that I was going through a divorce and wasn’t sure what I needed to do with the money. The look on my face was all she needed. I never called them, I didn’t even know where I was going until this morning. I definitely didn’t call. But I have one guess as to who did. 😂😂😂😂😂. The tile lady told me that it’s just my name, and it’s obviously a pre marital asset that her name is no where on. I’ve owned the house since 2003. Good luck with that. I hate my soon to be ex wife. She’s evil!
