Gentlemen- my stbx claims she’s lost her job one month before the trial. She makes 2x me, $270k a year. It has been over a week since the claim was made. She’s still on the company website and the kids mentioned she was using her company laptop and phone all last week. Does this make sense to anyone? If a person gets fired for whatever reason, you turn in all company equipment. Similar if a person gets laid off. They escort you to the desk and watch you pack and then escort you out. Am I missing something? As far as I know, she’s not a contract employee, meaning there’s a contract governing her employment terms (otherwise known as at will employee). I’ve subpoenaed her work files but this sounds so sus.
