You can look at my past posts as it relates to the request for a divorce a couple months back
Prior to that, maybe 4 months ago I really started noticing the 54inch Vizio in the family room really started looking bad.
I said a couple things here and there and did some research online and basically at the end of the day it’s some type of LED issue, not worth paying to fix vs replace like everything else these days.
I offered to her, if you want to get a new tv and take it then go for it because I want my daughters to watch there shows etc. I don’t have any issues with that whatsoever.
So while they were out of town a couple weeks back I sent her some make and models similar to the one we have today , with the same size and number of interfaces for external devices from Sam’s club, just trying to be helpful
I get a remark while they are gone that she’s looking for a “Samsung as it’s better quality and superior to Visio” at Costco instead. (We have never bought a tv from Costco before or a Samsung ) but her dad and brother have
Ummm okay, maybe it is, I don’t really care or give 2 shits if it is or if it isn’t.
Her dad and brother think Samsung is the greatest thing ever.
Again, I don’t really care as I have more important shit to worry about then you’re personal brand affiliations with a smart TV.
I come home last night and there’s a new 60 inch 4K Samsung in the box sitting in the living room and I’m like , uhh okay cool I guess.
I didn’t look at anything as I was tired and went to bed.
I got up this morning and noticed that this model only has 2 HDMI connections.
There are 4 devices attached to the existing VisioTV.
Cable box, Apple TV, DVD player and external DVR with family movies and memories. ……… This is where it gets interesting.
I’m in the basement watching a show when she gets up and comes down to the main level and says, “when are you going to set up the new TV?”
I calmly replied that it is going to be her new TV, not mine and that I would be happy to advise and point things out , but that this is hers and being that we are divorcing she needs to learn how to hook stuff up and download the updates for the new TV.
Seems like a fair ask IMO.
“Fine, I will ask “my oldest daughter”. To help me with it instead
Okay, I said what are you/ her going to plug into it?
“What do you mean”??
“Umm you have 2 HDMI ports on this new TV, but there are 4 different sources that are being used today , so what are you planning to use”
“All of them, what else would you think “ she replied
I’m like you can’t have more there 2 sources ( with out some kind of external splitter) as there’s only 2 inputs for appliances………
“My dad and my brother both said that Samsung is a good tv so I am listening to them”
ME……Great I am sure they can magically create 2 more inputs on this TV because that’s what you desire……..
This to shall pass…..!!!
