All in all, it's obvious that you can be average or even ugly and be with a very attractive woman, as there are guys that do have very attractive girlfriends despite not being good looking. It may not be an actual trend tho.

Looks is an important factor, but there are exceptions. Generally girls that can get over looks and see the deeper qualities in a man is a way more preferential girl than those who are shallow and only go for looks.

Attractive women have a lot of guys chasing after them, including attractive guys; If you’re going to be the one she picks, and you’re not attractive yourself, you’re going to have to have some other outstanding qualities that make you better than the other guys seeking her attention. A sense of humor, a great body, great intelligence, great competence, etc.

How much all of those things, including your face, weigh with her will depend on what she values, who’s competing with you, what characteristics she absolutely wants nothing to do with due to bad experiences in the past, and what time you catch her at. If she’s already taken, she’s already taken.

Looks do matter. However you can be perceived as better looking based on how you act, aka funny guys can somehow magically get more attractive in the eyes of the female beholder. That being said, I don’t think a very unattractive guy can get with a super hot woman (usually), but a halfway decent looking guy with a great personality can. Tho, MOST average people date other average people. And men who look average but would never date an average looking woman are weird. They don’t seem to care about anything but looks in a woman and thats sad.

I think it boils down to how you make a woman feel and/or whether you command respect from men in some way. Women are attracted to a man who is known for something. I don’t think women are gonna straight be able to tell you what they’re attracted to because i think it very much depends on their current mood and how novel you might be to them. You can’t make them feel good if you have the kind of inner monologue that kindkitten has displayed on here. RP has tried to convince men that there’s some sweetheart 23 year old waiting for you when you turn 40. Not if you’ve just been sitting there being struggling to be happy sitting on your Lazy Boy not advancing your life in your thirties. Or exercising so you have enough energy to maintain an upbeat personality that projects curiosity and a love of life. Your face and body literally looks like how you feel. I have been successful with women and I’m probably like a 7 at best, and what I bring to them is an alternative to a typical turbo testosterone fueled raises truck numbnuts—-I can use my mouthpiece and I have energy for days. Without the work I do in my everyday life, I can’t be that alternative. That’s how it is competing with those 200 proof silos of testosterone out there that women just know in their BONES will split them in half. Whenever I’m in the zone commanding a room with my jokes or other talents though, those ultra masculine guys look butthurt af anyway. But if a guy like that is also funny and nice to everyone, I’m resigned that I will not win, and I’m fine with that 😂 it’s not your looks exactly, it’s how you feel about yourself and honing your talents on then making others feel amazing

It is certainly possible and not that uncommon. Some average looking guys can. But if you are asking, can all average looking guys score very attractive women, the answer is likely 'no' since there won't be enough for all of them.

Building wealth and earning potential helps. Having an amazing personality also helps. The question an average man should ask himself is whether the extra effort is worth it.

Do looks matter? Yes. Are they everything? No. I’ve hooked up with guys I thought were way too hot for me and guys I hadn’t even considered options at first. It really depends on how they make me feel and personality really does go a long way. Women who are super attractive have struggles with dating too. You might be surprised. Getting a lot of attention isn’t always positive. Someone incredibly good looking often end up alone because they scare away all the decent guys and the only ones brave enough to talk to them are often obnoxious assholes. But what difference does it make to have a hot girl on your arm? What would it mean to “get” a super hot girl to you? If it’s a status or an ego driven thing then don’t bother. They’re not looking to be anyone’s play wife or trophy thing. They’re real people who have the same thoughts and desires as you who appreciate real, authentic, dammit average things too. Just because they’re above average in one department doesn’t mean they expect everything in their life to be.

Looks matter first and foremost, no matter what anyone will try to say differently. If you were to make a pie chart of what attracts women, looks would make up at least 60%, followed by confidence and personality etc.

It depends on what you mean when you say "score" as well as the actual individual involved. As well as your definition of average.

Some people just gel, looks don't matter a ton then (outside of looking terrible).

Looks are often considered as the most important attractor. I get that, but I think it's just one of the easiest to understand.

The more short-term an encounter is, the more important looks likely will be.

But even then humour is up there.

Most data out there shows people pair with someone equal / the same as themselves - close in age, same socio-econmic status, same ethnic group, similar level of attractiveness.

By “score” - if you mean sex, well what do you think people prioritize in that situation? Do you think they prioritize, say, shared values or raw sexual attraction?
