Go on dating apps and go on dates. With E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E. Regardless of attraction. Don't do it to have sex or start a relationship necessarily (though be open to it if it works). Learn how to appreciate other human beinga for non-superficial reasons, and get out of your comfort zone. Every single human being on this planet has something to offer you, and every date can be fun if you're a fun person.

This is advice for anyone, not specific to you. I worked in male dominant fields and never knew how to interact with women because I was never around them. I just started hanging out with anyone who was lonely and learned from there.

Edit: I should say, regardless of attraction is a bit of a misstatement. "Regardless of who you think you're 'supposed' to be attracted to" might be closer. If you're lonely and alone you shouldn't be looking at anyone and thinking they're ugly.

I hear you. I was very similar when I was younger. I’d pretty much learned that I wasn’t attractive or interesting or funny. I was good at programming, but that was it.

Things started to turn around when I got a job and started earning. I got nice clothes, took care of myself, started going to the gym. I forced myself to leave the house, even if it was just for a walk. I did some courses, including an Insight course and a Landmark course, which were a bit culty, but I did find them very helpful. I forced myself to do things that were scary. I also started going to church, which was surprisingly excellent.

I’m much older now, but everything is pretty great. I’m in charge of a bunch of stuff. I earn pretty well. I have a lovely family.

Things do change. It can take time though. Be kind to yourself, push your boundaries, do the scary things, leave the house even if you’re not going anywhere in particular just leave the house. Do something that stretches you every day. Don’t waste your life on games, just cut that out.

You’ll be fine in the end, it just takes time.

First we hate being called female, if you call us “female” that is a 🚩 you have misogynistic views. In almost all my experience with lots of guy friends is that the girl chooses you and you just will never really know why.

I think you're confusing rejection with self preservation instinct. Women tend to be much more wary of people they are unfamiliar with (especially men) than men because they are usually weaker than men. That's not to say that you're some big scary person, just that you could overpower most women if you decided you wanted to, and in their eyes you're a potential threat. There's also the fact that women get hit on a lot, sometimes aggressively, and that can be annoying. It's not your fault of course, but unfortunately it's just a fact of life.

Barring that, get a hobby and find a social circle around that hobby. Loads of friends that way, lots of them women, probably.

I joined a lego group and have met lots of creative women who do custom builds and shit. Just gotta be ambitious.

I have managed to do this with online dating, here is how you can do it. First off, be presentable. You must be clean and well put-together in your pics, as much as possible. Try to project the best vibe you can, be the best version of you. Smile in a friendly way. In your bio make it clear that you are not some right-wing dickhead loser because most women are completely averse to anything even remotely conservative. If you are bigoted or right-wing in any way, stop. Sort it out. It's not good for you and as I said it makes most women want to run away.

Having some sense of style helps. Understanding how to dress for different occasions can help so much. Where I live the default dude look is a shaved head, a beer gut, gym shorts, velcro sandals and an oversized dirty t-shirt. That's not acceptable. There is no reason to not be extra. You are competing for women's time and energy. You better bring your A-game. Be someone that people want to walk next to. Use a fragrance too. Dressing and presenting well is not just for you but also to show respect to other people. If you are financially limited, just focus on being clean, haircuts, clean shoes, etc.

In your bio make it clear who you are and where you stand. If there is something you like, write it, it doesn't matter if it's a "nerd" hobby like gaming or anime, it's 2021, it's ok to like those things as long as you're not toxic or creepy about it. Do not lie. You will be found out eventually. If you want a casual day out without pressure, write it. If you go out to eat, split the bill. If you offer to pay for her meal that can make things uncomfortable really quick as many men have done and do this in hopes of her thinking she "owes him" sex or something.

Some people say you should try matching with everyone. I disagree. Some women, like men, have bad vibes. If something seems "off" about the person, swipe left. But don't just match with conventionally attractive women. Read their bios.

If you match, chat casually, ask her about her interests, work and so on. People generally like to talk, ideally there should be relatively even communication on both sides but if you can get her enthusiastically telling you about something that's pretty good unless she's talking AT you for way too long, but that's on her. If things are going ok suggest a video chat for a vibe check. It may make both of you but especially her more comfortable if you both see and hear each other. If that goes well, offer to meet up in a public place with lots of people, many women are justifiably wary of men, respect boundaries and be mindful of the fact that a lot of men treat women like absolute shit so be understanding of this fact. Don't be one of those guys.

When and if you meet, keep the above in mind but also understand that you are meeting another human with fears and insecurities. When I was younger I put women, especially pretty women on such a pedestal that I was terrified of them, but you don't need to repeat my mistakes. Women are people, treat people with respect. Go out and have fun, with the right person even a trip to the convenience store to get some snacks can be great time.

Also, try different apps. I have had almost zero luck with Tinder, weird, gross women with very bad vibes, on the other hand when I tried Bumble I got quite a few matches with people I actually wanted to meet. Tinder was designed as a hookup app and they may have drawn in a cetain demographic of people that may not be looking for friends if you understand what I mean.
