Any cult will have entry-level truths that are supposed to be either true or close enough to the truth to make the transition easier. So the fact that some of the stuff they say turns out to be true isn't a revelation.

Don't confuse the way information is communicated to you with its value. Even if you find the delivery "charming".

I think a lot of the guys who deliver the information honestly do hate women, even though they make such a big deal out of operating on "just the facts", and if their lives weren't centered around constant ego-gratification they'd completely fall apart.

In don't mean to put words in your mouth, but I imagine then that this is something you're into? Or why give them your support and describe them as fantastic educators?

Does any of this appear cognitively dissonant, yet?

Red Pill was 'genuine criticisms of women that easily spiraled out of control because men who were abused by women started parroting them (many not even having their own experiences of abuse) and took it overboard'. Red Pill literally caused women who were not abusers to be treated and abused as such, notably Autistic women. How is it different? It's like saying the KKK has 'some good points' about black culture, or how 1930's Germany had 'good points' about Jewish people, or ancient Rome having 'good points' about early Christians. We have a capability to make 'good points'. It does not mean those good points can't spiral into destruction and death just like Red Pill/MGTOW+ has caused).

9/10 times i see this kind of post it's virtually always a dude who in essence is indeed TRP, just not very hateful. It's a very thin line between getting decent and valuable teachings from TRP and being a TRPer who still thinks that women are somehow ruthless hypersexual social climbers but somehow is okay with it.

I dont know if I could equate feminism with Red pill.

One of them is intellectual with a long historical paper trail. Feminism is actually scholarly and has a ton of books and historical figures to its name.

Red pill doesn't have a section in a library. The writers are grifters, supplement salesman/pick up artists. It's by people who live under rocks for people who live under rocks. It's anti intellectual and culty. More in common with scientology or flat earth, bc if you look at it, its conspiracy.

It does help naive men who expect unconditional love from women. I was in a stage where I thought someone will find me special and “save me” and make me happy. But the only thing I offer is pain and misery.

They're claiming to have so much knowledge about women, yet are telling you to purposefully ignore what women are telling you they do or don't like.

It is important yes. I still consider myself a red pill. But for good reasons. It thought me how to love myself more and put myself first. Ever since I've been applying some of the philosophies in life, I realize I'm more at peace... Knowing I can choose who my attention goes to and also keep my dignity intact.

I agree that redpill can be a good starting off point because it does tell men some hard truths: *You can't negotiate genuine desire

*fairytale romance doesn't exist and chasing it will hurt you

*You are one of many choices that a woman has available to her. You are in competition with other suitors

*you should build your friendships and support networks.

*don't put the comfort of someone else above your own to the point where it hurts you.

*if youre not interested in being friends with a woman youre attracted to, then don't.

*leave a relationship when it becomes emotionally and financially abusive.

*stand up for yourself

*watch what people do, not what they say.

All good points, and the idea of men coming together to share their pain and experience with one another is objectively good. When redpill is focused on how men can weather the hardships that come their way, it's a good thing for men. Where things get bad is when they start assuming they know what women want and how women 'are'. In addition to its embrace of hustle culture and pushing yourself to an unhealthy limit. The logical extreme of the constant striving to be a HVM is someone like Kevin samuels. All that money, all that hard work and yet he died alone in his home from the stress that came from pushing himself so hard to fit this unrealistic standard.

The red pill taught me cold approach which was great for my confidence and social skills. Due to constant exposure I stopped putting women on pedestals and started treating them like normal people. A lot of young men fear women so they act shy and nervous. The pick up community taught me to go after what I want in a woman and to not be afraid to take risks.

The first video I watched was titled “take the red pill” or something by the pick up artist Owen Cook. In the video he was approaching women at a club acting shy and unconfident vs cocky and direct while recording the responses. Seeing the differences in how women treated each version of him really opened my eyes. Over the next few months I quickly got over approach anxiety and learned to socialize and capture attention. I no longer felt stifled and unsure of myself around people. Due to pick up I became very witty and quick on my feet in social situations. Without pick up I’m not sure how I would have overcome that hurdle. Even though there are toxic aspects to the red pill community I remain extremely grateful to this day for having found it when I did.

Who (very wrongly) taught you when you were younger that to be happy, you need to find a woman who loves you? Was it your parents or schools?

The root of the many problems often seem to be this idea we teach children that to be genuinely happy, they have to find someone willing to do the heavy lifting for them. And it is just so wrong.
