Attraction in men and women
Men find most people sexually attractive by default. Research consistently show s that more than 70% of men would say yes to a random woman asking them in public to have sex, On gay dating apps, men of any looks level can easily gather hundreds of matches and dozens of messages from men of all looks levels within a short amount of time - just like straight women.
Women not only report facing more risks but consistenty report not experiencing sexual desire to most people, their attraction seems to be more focused on specific individuals and "connections" they feel with specific individuals, this is most commonly known as chemistry. Women don't express feeling sexual desire to most people even on an abstract level, you can ask women in your life or even women on the internet,it's just how they feel.
Chemistry: objective or subjective?
The general anti-RP belief is that chemistry is an individual thing. The problem with this is that everyone can see that certain men are generally liked by many women and can easily trigger attraction consistently while some men don't get anything no matter how much they try. Chemistry seems to have a pretty strong objective component.
Different schools of thought
PUAs and Red Pillers started from this observation, what do these men who are liked by many women show that other men don't? We know where that has led to but is there a non-RP way to give answers to that?
Most PUA's methods are based on variations of the original Mystery Method, which goes like this:
- Approach: Start a conversation with a woman in an engaging and confident way.
- Attraction: Build attraction by demonstrating social proof (i.e., showing that you are well-liked and respected by others) and demonstrating pre-selection (i.e., showing that other women find you attractive).
- Comfort: Build comfort by finding commonalities and shared experiences with the woman and establishing a connection.
- Seduction: Use physical escalation to create sexual tension and move towards intimacy.
- Close: Close the interaction by getting the woman's phone number, setting up a date, or escalating the interaction to a sexual encounter.
BlackPillers have tried providing an explanation for the uneven sexual success of men, these men are just more good looking than the average man, women simply have higher looks standards than straight and gay men which explains the unbalance.
So called "Blue Pillers" (aka normal people) usually ignore the issue by saying that attractive is an individual thing. I think this is unhelpful because this doesn't convince anyone at all as everyone can see that sexual attraction is not distributed evenly in the heterosexual market like it is in the gay sexual market. Add to that the emotional distress that many guys feel in realizing that they are simply unattractive to women, for whatever reason, and don't get results no matter how much they try, and they end up following whoever gives them a anwers.
