No, it’s a nonsense coping mechanism for young men who are not successful in dating life. Most men/women date and marry people around their own age like within 1-3 years older and younger. Men are more likely to be slightly older compared to younger but still the same age cohort. So, if a 20 something men can’t get a date then it’s his problem not his age. An average men in his 20s has no problem dating average women in their 20s.

A man can get into his 30s and earn a lot of money but it won’t help in long term dating if he doesn’t look as good as he used to, or lack dating skills or is boring. So, if a man was invisible in his 20s he is not going to become visible in his 30s.

Even if a man improve in all the above factors he still would have to deal with the fact most women his age is likely taken and most young women would not be interested in someone much older. So, with new decades there just comes new problems.

This idea is really dumb. What do you even mean by visible? Do you mean dateable? Marriageable? Seeable? More attractive physically? Emotionally avaliable? What do you even mean?

I'm guessing if you really wanted to push things you could say that you're more dateable at 21 than you are at 15. And you could say that you're more likely to be marriageable/engaged in your 30s than you are in your 20s.

But to claim that men are invisible until the age of 30 is highly retarded.

Logically speaking, the dating pool is filled with people aged between 21 and 50. People in their 20s and 30s are probably the biggest group in this pool, so I guess they have more options, so people under 40 are probably the most visible people, if 'visibility' can even be defined.

I don’t think anyone is invisible. It really all depends on the kind of women you’re going after. Not all women want an older guy. And the crazy ones aren’t worth dating at all.

There is truth that the more experience you have in something the better you’ll be at it. So a 30 year old guy with a decade of experience is going to run circles around. 20-25 year old virgin. Heck, he’d run circles around a 30 year old without experience as well.

I still watch a lot of young men make rookie mistakes all the time. A prime example is following guru advice instead of following ethics. People out there legitimately ignoring ethics, because some dude on the internet told them to, and wondering why their lives are miserable. That’s just karma, baby!

Woman here, but no. This is kinda bull.

Women have made discretion into an art. We don't want to seem too forward or sexual since it's punished swiftly. That said we also have eyes and guys in their 20s are in their peak attractiveness. A lot of guys might be the subjects of thirst without ever knowing it. That jawline? Those forearms? We see 'em.

That said 30s guys are typically more confident, experienced, more socially savvy and more into long term relationships and that can be attractive to a lot of women. A lot of men too find maturity and experience appealing in a woman, so the same logic applies here.

If I could give young guys two tips it'd be a) at least pretend to be a little more mature socially (fart and boomer sex jokes are active repellents!!), and b) be CONFIDENT. But especially the first one for the love of God. I had a boyfriend kill all our sexual tension with motorboat jokes. Maybe some women like that type of thing, but most? Maybe not.

I do think demographics is important. Like where do you hang out? What are the types of people there? How do you broadcast yourself? Do you even attempt to socialize in that environment?

And just being a young man doesn’t exclude yourself from the dating pool. I won’t lie and say that being older doesn’t come with the expectation of being well established/experienced. However, you kind of have to sell yourself as being confident to try no matter who tries to push you down.

I’ll be honest in that I know my demographics (Asian, likes anime, dances) and I was privileged to be raised in that environment. So it’s relatively easy to connect with women and people in general in that area. It also helps to be in a college environment just to be around people of similar age. That way you’re pretty much guaranteed to have an even playing field, controlling for age.

Yes - if they put in the work. You're more financially stable , emotionally developed, etc at 30 than you are at 20 given you worked hard in life.

No, not really.

Many males are slow to change from a boy to a man, not just physically but also mentally. That might make it seem like you suddenly get noticed more when you're around 30, but there are young men who mature fast, and old men who mature slowly.

Physically, men seem to change a lot around 25, as puberty finally finishes it's job and they go from boys to men, and they stay looking like that until around 40 when age comes in to play. That's why men between 25 and 40 are the most desired, and if you look at who wins those silly "worlds sexiest man" awards, they're usually very fit and genetically blessed men between the ages of 27-33, aka prime male physique age, when they tend to be the best at sports and everything else as well. Just look at the age of gold medal winners, and so forth.

But also, mentally they mature a lot there, which is really important to women. Men get more comfortable talking about their feelings, they start to think in long term goals rather than immediate pleasure, and they finally start to realise that women are human beings and not sexual objects they can treat however they like without consequences.

Another important shift that happens mentally around this age, is that they've usually lived alone long enough to no longer expect mommy to come pick up their clothes, cook their food and otherwise deal with the necessities of life for them. A mentality that a lot of young men, especially aged 18-22 have, is that "the world owes me nice things", because they're used to a parent paving the way for them. Realising that they have to work for everything themselves, is something that turns some young men in to bitter incels, and other in to hard working, attractive men. Which way it goes depends on the individual. Many girls/women are raised with this awareness from the get-go, due to patriarchy showing them that they have to work twice as hard to get noticed from kindergarten onwards.

That said, many men are succesful at dating already when they're 14, and some aren't even succesful at 40. It comes down to individuals, and especially social skills. A confident, kind and caring 20 year old will be more desireable to a woman of any age than an insecure Tate follower who is 30, simply because men who can handle themselves and their emotions are desireable.

You change a lot from 20 to 30. At least if you make sure to be social, make friends, challenge yourself to be a part of the world.

A lot of guys get more confidence and better social skills as they become more comfortable in their own skin. Like women also do when they get older. Since being socially intelligent is important to women, this means that many men will do better when they are a bit older.

Nope. Most of my friends and colleagues have someone in their life. I mean some are invisible because of their traits and others due to luck or circumstances. I was on the basketball team in college, also in the swimming team. I was still invisible. Still am.
