Long hair on a man is a dealbreaker to me. If his hair is longer than jaw-length, I swipe left.

Cute story actually:

When I was in high school, there was a classmate who had a crush on me, but he had long hair. Even though his hair was clean and healthy-looking, it was very long, and I just didn't like the overall look. When he asked me out, I said no thanks, you seem like a pretty cool dude but I'm just not attracted to long hair. He said "okay no problem" and went to the hairdresser over the weekend and cut all his hair off, just like that.

He donated the ponytail to Locks of Love (charity for children with cancer or other hair loss). He got a very flattering short haircut which made him look quite handsome. Altogether I thought it was very touching, especially when he told me later that the whole reason he was growing his hair out was so he could donate it, and he said the haircut wasn't a big deal because he was planning to cut it eventually anyways.

The following monday, he asked me out again and I said yes. He was a really kind, considerate, humble dude, and we ended up dating almost 2 years. We lost our virginity with each other. We broke up when he moved across the country for university, sadly. He is among the highest value men I have ever dated. I'm glad my first relationship was with someone like that because he set the bar high in terms of how I expect to be treated by men 😊
