Exactly, if you're a second choice, you're not much of a choice, just something to settle for whenever it's convenient for them, and the best option is unavailable. Don't put your eggs in one basket, or become a slave and halt your life for some guy, who barely even cares about you, that's just one way ticket to misery town. If you put someone in the first place and they put you in second or even lower, it's not going to be fair and it will show. long before I had standards, I was going through a bad breakout so I spent a Lot of time with my friends. one male friend and I were hanging out and suddenly he tried to get physical and told me I was his "third choice" and compared me physically to his other women on his list of preferences to sleep with. it was beyond disgusting, I obviously don't speak to him, but ever since I always tell this to my other friends and have even told LVM this before blocking them. I am NOT an option or backup plan!

I need help with this. He was a major upgrade from my ex. We were in sync in our love and personal growth for over a year. Now all of a sudden he “will always love me” but has to pursue monogamy with someone else or else he will always wonder and doesn’t want to resent me in the future the way he resented his ex. “If it were up to him” he would keep our communication level the same. Which in my perspective means he is not doing monogamy with anyone. Just because you’re not fucking me doesn’t mean you’re being the monogamous man she thinks you are. wtf do I do with this?
