LVM *spends time calling various stores and standing in line / refreshing and stalking websites to buy the new xbox and playstation*

LVM *spends $500 on PS5*

LVM *spends another $70 on new video game*

LVM *buys the headset/extra controller for ~$50*

LVM *makes in game purchases/ pays for downloadable content, pays another $30*

LVM plays the game for 40 hours a week and then watches you tubers/ chats in discord about the game for another 20 hours a week

LVM gets pornsick then to Instagram models cosplaying the characters/watching cosplay themed porn

I don’t understand American old men playing video games. In my culture is rare that men after their 20’s still playing video games. The video games are mostly seen it as something for children and teenagers. I never noticed it before until I moved here. In South America grown up men go outside to play soccer with their friends while the girls are chatting and drinking watching the guys play or go to dance ( I mean like real dance) with their girls in their friends house or club. At least there is some involvement of physical activity in those options. But playing video games in a basement and never talk to other people? It is so weird!

Real quick question.
I don't have a lot of money for therapy. I'm afraid to invest because I feel like I have so many issues, trauma, work, that has spanned my entire life, that it's too much to address without being able to fund it more than once a month.

Is that realistic, or am I avoiding it and using this as an excuse?
