Omg, bad teeth make me want to barf.

I just went to the dentist yesterday and all my teeth are great. But I've had a questionable molar for years (I have quite a lot of dental work because my parents neglected my teeth when I was a kid). We were "keeping an eye on it" and now the time has come and I have to drop $2000 on it. I don't have a dental plan, but no worries, I have the money.

Meanwhile my LV ex coincidently had that same tooth pulled while we were together because he didn't want to spend the money fixing it. Then he spent the $2000 on a life sized silicone sex doll.

I keep thinking of him old, alone and toothless with Sally Silicone and how I'll still have a beautiful set of teeth.

Wasn’t there a girl on here recently who said she had to keep reminding her ex to brush his teeth. There was one night he didn’t do it and when she brought it up he replied with “but you didn’t ask me to”. What the actual fuck, why does a grown man need to be reminded to brush his teeth?

How? I went on a date with a giy whose breath was so bad I could smell it from across the table. I could not wait to leave. I made myself so repulsive so he would get mad and just lose interest.

Women need to shame these men more often. A guy I dated had shit in his teeth and his breath smelled like a fungal infection, he tried to kiss me and I went off on him. I said "no way man, I don't know what you just ate but I'm definitely not interested in sampling it."

We were in public, too. He got so embarrassed that he just kinda nervously laughed and took a big swig of water, then asked me if I had any gum, which I always carry. He chewed on it for the next forty minutes of the date and didn't try to kiss me again.

Next time we met up, his teeth were super clean and his breath smelled like he'd just brushed his teeth prior to showing up.

This again highlights the importance of vetting early and boundaries. I fully believe that if I had entered a relationship with him, he would've kept up the dental hygiene for three or so months before giving up because (1) he's already got me trapped in a relationship at that point and (2) he's too lazy to take care of his teeth without an external motivator. Glad that bullet was dodged!

Bad oral hygiene was one of the reasons I ended up breaking up with my ex of six years. I also never badgered him about it, but when I did bring it up, he would always dismiss me.

I also got yeast infections every time he went down on me. Because he was my first partner, I made excuses (“My eyes get irritated with lash glue that has latex, so maybe it’s the latex in the condoms?”), but after switching partners, I’ve wised up.

And yes, if he lets his oral hygiene slip, he’ll let other aspects of his hygiene slip, too. Including washing his hair, and ass crack. (Someone in another comment mentioned in ten years becoming 100 lbs overweight. Try “gaining 100+ pounds in the span of a six year relationship when he was overweight to begin with”)

Moral of the story here is always: don’t be a fucking clown.

I had a date a few years ago ...his teeth and breath were so gross and his tongue was covered in a carpet of white ! Thankfully he took me to a restaurant (a lousy chain one of course) and I ate and dipped afterwards. I was dumb and didn't block him only to get a text weeks later "how are you? I'd ask you out again but I'm still not sure about you."

Probably still hadn't brushed his teeth

Edit as I thought more: and here are most women who are the ones spending so much on all the floss, plaquers, good toothbrushes, whitening strips, brushing several times a day and I bet you are like me before id go out on a date id brush extra and get my magnifying mirror and really make sure I was immaculate

My sympathy for women like this is at this point non existent. Seriously.

You have to ask a group of strangers if it's okay to not hurt your partner's fee-fees and endure his bad hygiene? What is this elementary school?

We're adults. Adults should not be acting this stupid. Seriously. Enough is enough.
