I was just browsing FDS tonight and I realized, I don’t think I’d know how to treat an HVM if I came across one. I’ve dated guys where there was ALWAYS something wrong in life with them. Some sad little hardship they needed my emotional support to overcome. Mental issues, shitty job, problems with creditors, fired from a job. It was always their fault. All of these issues arose because they were man-children incapable of adulting.

But to my point. For the sake of this conversation let’s pretend that you’ve got an HVM. For whatever reason he loses his job. Would you go for the “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” approach, or the “let me comfort you and offer my emotional support” route?

I guess I’m asking…. In a real life shitty situation, where the roof over your head may be on the line; is an HVM going to just go out and start trying to fix it and let you know what he’s doing without freaking out? Or would you expect him to be in need of your support and presence as a Queen to give him the “help” to do this?

Any of you Queens who are married to an HVM care to share how your man handles real life scary situations?
