Omg I saw that! He’s going to sit in the kitchen while she still does all the work? Fucking classic.

She’s still doing all the labor, emotional and otherwise. This is not a win.

You know what might be closer to a win? “Hey honey, so I have this potluck coming up, and I looked up a recipe I’d like to bake together. I’m planning on going food shopping on (insert date) for the ingredients. Please look at it and let me know if it’s one we could manage together. If not, I’ll choose a different recipe.”

Then follow through with the food shop, actually spend time together prepping & learning, then clean up after.

Men don’t get it and women are enabling bullshit. If he doesn’t know how to bake and wants to learn that’s great, but he needs to put in actual effort (not be told to put in effort, and how to put in effort).
