So, I’m a long time FDS follower. Over the last year I have been burned by OLD over and over again. I decided to forego it entirely. Instead I’ve paid for the assistance of a professional match making company. I know I have an advantage because I live in a large city, but match makers actually cover large areas out side of major cities! When I initially reached out to the company I asked if their services were intended to help people find a spouse. They responded saying they don’t offer their services to anyone looking for anything BUT marriage. This is amazing. I’ve found a dating pool of genuinely serious relationship minded men. Take the “what are you looking for” off the table. Skip it entirely. Go pay for a match maker. The men using the match making company are just as fed up with OLD and are looking for serious commitment. Total game changer.

Edit: so for those asking: as a woman the rate is a one time payment of $250. There is an initial 90 minute counseling/psych interview with the match maker and a board certified psychologist. All males are subject to the interview, background test, and vetting. All dates are planned and arranged by the match making company. And it is not a company for “eastern” match making. Idk how to say that. It’s not for people who are just trying to make their families happy.
