It's not a bad thing to get turned off by men who show blatant sexual interest in you super fast. those are men you want to avoid like the plague anyway.

It’s mostly trail and error, and it’s always a gamble.

You could meet a man that you find attractive, he spoils you, you two generally hit it off. And then, as you’re vetting, you find out he watches porn, or that he talks badly about his ex girlfriend’s, or he is disrespectful towards his family (Disrespectful as in he’s a spoiled jerk or entitled or misogynistic towards his mother, etc. Doesn’t apply to someone who is standing up for themselves against abuse, of course).

That’s why I say it’s a gamble. You could meet the most (seemingly) perfect man, and then days, weeks, months, or years later you realize he is not as great as he appeared to be. You just have to continuously vet.

Instantly block anyone who gives you the vibe or explicitly states that they don’t want anything serious. Consider men who appear to be well-rounded individuals looking for a serious relationship.

I wish there was a specific formula women could follow but, sometimes, it’s just luck to find a true HVM. That’s why so many people are burnt out from the dating scene. It can feel like hard work.

You can’t. You just have to vet ruthlessly and know 90% of the men you see on there won’t be for you.

I wish there was a secret recipe, but i litterally swiped on mine by accident and he seemed friendly enough to accept a date. A year later, this is the healthiest, safest, most loving relationship to date and he checks all the green flags with absolutely no red flag on the horizon. However, if you look through my comments history, you'll see I've had a couple of really bad first dates. It's luck.

I honestly don’t think HVMs exist on dating apps and I’ve just decided to remove myself from the apps as a result. There was one guy that I was talking to that didn’t understand the importance of courting a woman. Another felt that taking a woman out for dates after sleeping with her would “mess up the vibe”.

Then there are the ones that are just...incompetent. They want to meet up but don’t have enough initiative/drive to actually plan a date.

In my opinion HVM aren’t on dating apps. Yeah I know people will probably reply oh well I met my HVM on a dating app but generally no.

Sadly, I don't use dating apps anymore because the overwhelming majority of men on dating apps are looking for casual sex, even if they initially claim otherwise.
