I left my husband in November because he said I was old, fat, and ugly. I've been working out and dressing like the old me. My confidence has never been better because I've been excelling at school and I'm free. After a long day of studying and school, I stopped by Walmart for some groceries. I was approached by five different men who wanted to tell me how beautiful I am. This has never happened to me before. I am 33. All I was doing was getting dog food and avocados. One guy said, "In case your old man is slacking, I just want you to know you're a beautiful woman." All I said was thanks, but in my head I was laughing at just how much my "old man" slacked that he no longer has any claim on me. While I would prefer to just go about my shopping, I won't lie that it was a huge ego boost.
