A man begged me for money at the casino and I asked him "does it make your balls shrink to ask a woman for money?" We should always respond that way. Not only will they not ask again, but they will hate you, which is good because they're useless anyway.

It is shamefully common. I've never done it but I know other women who have. A few guys tried it on me and I shut them down fast. There are quite a few grown men living parasitically off of women, sometimes their mother, often the girlfriend or wife.

In the past men took pride in being a provider or even a big spender. It made them feel more manly. Now they are acting like big babies, having women take care of them. They are emasculating themselves.

I've never had someone straight up ask for money but I remember one time some guy insisted that I needed a $150 impact driver and asked if we can go halfsies on it.

"But I already have one... Do you need to borrow it?"

"This one is better and it is cordless!"

Yeah nah, I'm good. It was so unattractive. I can't imagine having so little self-respect that I would ask so when I'm dating to go in half on something I wanted.

Years ago a well known Youtuber I was friends with once tried pulling that crap on me. “Send me some money.” I straight up blocked his ass and last time I heard he became demonetized and destitute.

It doesn’t matter how well off they are, they still will be leeches if they think your a good mark.

I just can’t imagine the sheer weight of men’s audacity sometimes.

So I've never been straight up asked for money but I did date someone in my early 20s (30 now) who was constantly broke because he had a car he could barely afford and had also recently quit his job seemingly for no reason, I never got a straight answer (he prob got fired). I recall paying for our first date and many dates thereafter, otherwise we would just sit on the couch watching tv. I had depressingly low standards, the guy just basically had to not abuse me and that was good enough.

It always makes me super happy and proud to see women on here who have been awakened earlier on in life than I did.

I have a fun story that happened when I was 18.

I was dating this guy and we were exclusive it seemed. We had mutual friends who introduced us, and we hit it off. One Saturday, the guy calls me asking for money. As a broke, unemployed 18 year old I obviously had no money to lend or give to anyone. I told him that, and he left me alone.

On the Monday or Tuesday, I met our mutual friends. Turns out that he was paying brideprice for his baby mama and didn't have enough money, so he decided to ask me for it. You read that right, this NVM wanted money from me so he could marry his baby mama. I immediately blocked him, and told the mutuals not to be his go betweens. Last i heard of him more than 10 years ago, he was unemployed and broke trying to look after an unemployed wife as well as kids.

I'm so glad the trash took itself out.
