Unfortunately a lot of people still don't realise this. I'm pretty sure I'm being slandered as the heartless one despite the fact I have left a relationship where I spent 15 years being an afterthought and never getting respect. Fucking sick of the gas lighting and shit I had to put up with I've been thriving since I left. Other people seemed to think that the behaviour was normal. An imbalance in a relationship where one does all the fucking work is not normal. Took myself too long to realise that too.

Men were conditioned and taught so poorly by previous generations of men (their boomer parents, uncles, etc.) that they think women not tripping over themselves to please them and be approved of by them means we're heartless now.

I almost feel sorry for them because they were raised this way, but they also refuse to help themselves.

We can't win. If you go out with LVM, it's a disaster. Also according to many mem you might as well get paid for being a whore. I hate how no matter what women does we always get some negative label or told it's our fault. Your man abuses you or just sucks in general? "it's your fault you should've chose better". But on the flip side you look out for yourself and cut off toxic men? "you heartless gold digger no wonder you're single".
