I hate the comeback to not all men, "not all men, but enough men."

It's bullshit and here's why:

It lets the man control the conversation. It lets the man steer feminism. It turns feminism into a reactionary response to a disingenuous claim by a male trying to deflect responsibility for ubiquitous male abuse against women. It turns the issue from being about men abusing women and how we deal with that, to being about poor men "don't be mean to us."

Stop letting men control the conversation! Stop letting men control feminism.

And for my second point, it's not even true!

Who are these men that are not all men? Probably less than 1% of the male population, and here's why.

Let's start with 100% of the male population and start subtracting based on their behavior. All the men who beat their wives and girlfriends, 1 in 10, are the "enough men". Of course we have to subtract the men that are verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive too. That's probably 2 out of 3 already. We have to subtract any man who's ever abused a child or is a pedophile as well. Then we have to subtract all the men that have cat called women, chased them down the street, followed them in their cars or groped a woman.

Even with overlap we have probably established about 2/3 of men are within this group of "enough men".

Now we also have to subtract the men that go to strip clubs, prostitutes and all the men that masturbate to pornography from the "not all men" group.

I believe now we're at 98%.

But I still haven't even mentioned all the men who rape women or have tried to rape women or who have threatened to rape women or coerced women into sex with nagging and whining and badgering and accusations.

So don't let men verbally and logically paint you into a corner with a lie! Stand your ground for yourself and every woman!
