A few weeks ago I was reading about an incident that involved two girls in my trail running group.

This guy was following them and trying to get them off the trail, then he tried to run them over with a car. They called the police to report it and the cop asked them if they “are sure they didn’t misunderstood what the guy wanted” ...Like the actual fck ..they ran the plates on the car and the car was a rental ...now a woman is missing from that general area that went hiking on her own. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Actually, it’s the woman’s fault for not choosing the very safest neighbourhood no matter how expensive it costs to live there, and not double checking that nobody followed her home, and not having better locks on all of her doors and windows, and not having a good enough security alarm system, and not keeping a guard dog, and not keeping a dirty pair of men’s work boots on the doorstep to make it look like a man lives there.

Like gosh, why even own a home anyways? You’re just ASKING for people to break into it.

Ugh, I hate the amount of preventative measures women are expected to take on a daily basis just to have basic safety in regular situations.
