This is so true. Sometimes I worry that the men who are attracted to me are total creeps. I'm small and sometimes get told I look like I'm in high school. So now I like wearing suits and business professional outfits because it looks and feels like I'm an adult, no pedos creepily watching me.

OMG I got into it with a guy in another sub that's about asking men about this very topic (what type of body do men prefer) and his answer was essentially a child and I called him on it.

You can check my post history, it's not too far down. Yeah, I was mind blown at the amount of upvotes he was getting and the people jumping to his defense and telling me I was body shaming women.

Struggled so much when I gained 15 lb shortly after turning 18 and never lost that 15 lb.

I wanted to be skinny like I was before.

Wish I could post a picture, but before 18 I was underweight (naturally), no boobs, bones showing through my clothes.

I was upset that I had to wear a bra after my weight gain.

The nasty part? There were grown men that were trying to get with me when I looked that young and skinny. I looked like a little kid.

A lot of women develop eating disorders (not even knowing it) because of these societal expectations, stunting their growth and never developing into what a woman actually is. It’s really sad. Annorexia recovery causes a “second puberty” regardless of age. People are amazed they actually did have the ability to grow boobs and a butt, etc. (not everyone, but more than realize is part of what is natural for them). Sad :(

I absolutely agree. But also, men seem to prefer 18-24 in women when they are adults. It doesn’t matter how old they are themselves, that’s always the women who catches their eyes in public. Have you noticed? If a man in his 40s is walking by, and an 40 and 18 yo woman is walking by, the man will almost every time notice the 18 year old first. I’ve noticed men with their wives and kids do this. And I just cannot understand how women want these men.

I agree what she said but I wish she would of left out "small" because that does contribute to body shaming. Height/body size has NOTHING to do with age. Trust me, most teens are way taller than them doesnt make them any less of a teen. What I will say is I hate the shaming of breasts in general. Women brag about being "perky". My physician told me that unless the breasts are fake or of an actual child, perky should not be a term used to or for adult women
