Don't use Hinge like Tinder. Do not like them first. Just sort through your likes, match a few at a time and be very picky. Once they disappoint you with their "Hi. How are you?" opening lines unmatch and match with some more. There is a lot of trash on all apps but this at least eliminates some of it.

I find Hinge makes the experience a bit easier for women compared to other apps. Still OLD wastes a lot of time sadly.

Dating apps are a scam.
So, long ago, I'd use this app every few years or so and every time, this same guy would msg me. His profile and photo was always the same, years between. I called him out on it the last time and blocked him. He then messaged me from his REAL account congratulating me on being smart and ladies, he was a fat old balding guy!😭😭 Using ancient photos of himself to trick women! 💀
I deleted my account and never looked back.

As an “older” woman, I hate Hinge. Only super young men (who watch too much MILF Porn) or men that are much older (and lie about being divorced and having kids) contact me. I block and delete so much on that app, it’s ridiculous. Just blocked a scrote just now that tried to neg me for replying the day after he sent a message. It’s like, I have a life. If you are not in your 20s to early 30s as a woman, OLD is the worst.

This wasn't OLD but when I was younger, I went on a penpal site and almost everyone who messaged me was a (usually much older) dude saying "hey. How r u", "wow ur so pretty like the sun", "do you have Skype", "do u have pictures " , "nudes?" "Do u have a bf?" Or something along those lines. Some guys should write a full sentence so I'd reply and then they'd get only sexual. I wrote out a nice profile and translated it into the languages I was learning and only the girls read it- they all got the same kinds of messages. Most guy's profile just said the same crap they put on OLD. Usually "ask if u want to know anything ;)" They think everything is a dating site and they are just as incapable of communicating with us because they don't see us as people - their caveman brain just says "GIRL" and they hit the message button regardless of what platform they're on. It's so boring. They don't want to make any effort for us and then complain that "woman don't talk to me!!??"

Before covid, dating apps were trash, and now they're even more so. I just deleted all of mine after almost 4 years and I feel so much better. I'm using that time to level up instead.
