1. From the posts I see on here and the experiences my friends and I have had when it came to dating, I found that the real struggle of dating as a woman has always been misogyny - men treating women with disrespect for “being lesser” - and internalized misogyny - women believing that’s just the way it is… not women wandering too high from their designated league and being used by a man that’s considered “too good” for them.

  2. Women aiming too high has never really been an issue when they’re socialized to aim low. Women aren’t brought up to go after their equal, let alone their “too good for them”. Women are constantly told to lower our standards, hence the thousands of posters on here talking about exes who were lacking money, looks, or personality still treating them like trash.

  3. I think it’s pretty devaluing and damaging to tell women that the reason they struggle so much is because the man they were dating was too attractive, rich, or charming for them. Even if that is the case - that he was more attractive, rich, whatever - they aren’t justified in mistreated you. And I think telling women that it is justified, it will have them internalizing it when the mistreatment was really a reflection of his character, not theirs. A true HVM that isn’t attracted to you will not use you or treat you like shit, they’ll kindly reject you and move on.

Yeah so I don’t know how FDS it is to believe that women should stay in their place to avoid being treated badly, and I was pretty disappointed to see so many agreeing with it.
