Just 2 days ago I accidentally stumbled across an article about Spade Cooley, very famous so-called King of Western Swing in the 50s. Big Trigger Warning if you choose to read a non-Wikipedia story of how he horrifically beat and unalived his 2nd wife Ella Mae in front of their 14yo daughter. So gut-wrenching that she had tried for YEARS to get away and escape him beforehand. He ultimately went to prison for it, but at 7 years behind bars (1968) California voted unanimously to parole him and let him out in 1970 (he died in '69). One of the worst examples of male privilege and female disposability I've come across in a long while. But yeah, just another C&W scrote that got a pass. 5 decades on and things are only marginally better.

p.s. My favorite "MB" song is Gunpowder & Lead by Melissa Lambert. 🙂

I don’t know who these people are but cheaters are not worth your time. Any man who would disrespect you and your relationship like that only belongs in the trash. He will not get better. Don’t waste your time waiting for him to get better.
