Divorcing. In part, because he was so emotionally connected (read: enmeshed) to his mom. She paid for EVERYTHING. Big-ticket items that a couple (in my opinion) should be navigating. I felt like I had no agency in my own relationship when it came to big picture. Mama had money and therefore the power. I have money...but not like that.

Told Mama Pickmesha with all kindness to “quit making her son’s life so easy.”

She’s pissed! Am I wrong, tho?💅🏼

The truth hurts.

Ladies, we need to teach our sons failing is okay, we ain’t gonna clean up after them/breastfeed them forever, they are the creators of their lives, and actions have consequences. Our sons are not here for our emotional completion. We are striving to raise respectful, introspective, hardworking HVM.

As if we women didn’t have enough on our plates. But loving and enabling are very different things.

Blessings, fine women.
