So many of these words are based on the male point of view. If they want to infantilize us, they call us "girls" even when we are 35. But if they feel sexual attraction to minors, they call those children "women under 18".

Notice how men will say "17 year old woman" but will also use "girl" up to ridiculous ages like "30 year old girl" depening on how they want to twist the situation at hand

It just depends on whether they want to exploit her or trivialize her. And this is so common...most men on reddit are referring to women in their 20s and 30s as "girls" meanwhile consider how ridiculous it would be to say "27 year old boy" Instead they use "men" or "guys" as it should be
