The last one is very true, and will eventually become a problem for women. Women must necessarily learn to rely on force to preserve their rights, because men will rely on force to take them away. It's sad, but we can't pretend we live in a safe world if we want to be free.

I don't know if the anecdote is going to make sense, but these quotes reminded me of it.

The scene is a 9 year old's birthday party with lots of moms/women gathered around at one table and lots of kids running around. One of the moms (a Regina George type) is just going on and on sucking all the air out of the room talking, and she punctuates her story with "Well, is the sky blue?" (in a "does a bear shit in the woods?" sort of way. The answer is meant to be an obvious YES!) and one of the kids running around, stops and says "The sky isn't blue right now, it's black!" and we all look out the window, and lo and behold! It is nighttime and therefore, the sky is black.

This wasn't her child, but this mother lost her absolute shit, doubled down, and started arguing that the sky was always blue, and I was just sitting there sipping my soda like... Holy fuck, what clown show am I watching? This woman and a few minions started arguing vs some more sensible moms about the color of the sky, one faction arguing that the sky's color is actually always in flux and only sometimes blue, another faction going "well, what is color, anyway?", another faction arguing that the sky's color is always black, because it's black in space, Regina George's faction arguing that the sky is always blue BECAUSE THE SAYING SAYS SO.

It was so amazing watching women say the sky is ALWAYS BLUE, ALWAYS (it just happens to appear to be black right now due to more and more too difficult to explain super-complicated reasons, but it's actually always blue and you are an asshole for not believing this) and getting super worked up and angry about it, while also looking out the window and seeing that the sky is BLACKETY BLACK BLACK. This is what mindless consumption of data does to you. You will literally sit there trying to explain to people why black is blue, why up is down, why yes is no, and why everything is nothing at all.

We all really need to sit down and actually process and interrogate every bit of info we've been force-fed our whole lives. And I wish I could have said this to her back then, but Regina, it's okay to be wrong sometimes. Take your L's like a queen, and learn something. The more you tried to double down and argue, and win an argument through shouting, banging the table, and being a condescending sarcastic ass, the stupider those other moms thought you were.

So many ideologies from the left have harmed women.

I'm not mentioning a specific one because I don't want my DMs being flooded with handmaidens.

It baffles and delights me how FDS is so strong in being anti-porn and sticks to their guns, and so many women agree. It makes me feel like I'm not alone...but the battle still isn't over unfortunately...
