Ouch. Truth hurts. This is so true of me and now I’m in a dead end relationship. Out of interest what would you class as a man chasing you? I think I assumed him continuing to message me over months before I accepted a date, as chasing. Also, how do you not let it impact your self esteem to realise this?

Yep so true. I just saw a pick me bitching about a guy that stood her up on a date. She texted him the day before asking if he was still up for the date the next day, no response. Then next morning, texted him again, no response. She still went and texted him while there!!! Then got a text from him the next morning claiming he fell asleep...she thankfully told him to fuck off but after getting no response the first or at least second time I’m cringing that she really thought he would show up. No response would have been the same from me.

Honestly, I make so many people mad telling them this. I pissed off my mom because she told me that a real man would be interested in me without sex, and I responded that I wanted a man who wanted to marry me without sex as the carrot. I told her I would only marry a man who technically had to reason to propose aside from actually liking and respecting me.
