If they all colectively are lazy and unwashed then women are more forced to settle. It's like men do not want us to enjoy them but to submit in body and soul and be actively uncomfortable with them.

I'm Swedish. It's not sad. You get someone that see you as an equal. Sure, he's not going to pick up the tab but you also don't have to give him a cookie for taking care of his kids. Because he knows he's supposed to.

Ok and during the dating phase, what do they do for you ? Just curious, because I would imagine that after paying half of the meal, they would still expect sex. Do people get married fast, or do men like to play the field while splitting the bill? Are women really happy with these arrangements?
Edit: I don’t want to sound harsh, I’m just very curious because obviously Sweden and Scandinavia in general is very well developed and apparently people are happy.

I can only speak for my friends and my experience. I don't remember "dating" my ex. It wasn't a concept at that time. We just started hanging out. It's common to "date" one person at a time so you just hang out until you don't want to hang out anymore or you move in together.
What he would do for me? Everything. He paid half of the bills (and if he made more than me then he paid more than me). He also did an incredible amount of emotional labor. He acknowledged his feelings. He cried when he was sad. He cooked. He cleaned. He did laundry.
He never expected sex.
We, of course, have exceptions but this is the expectations of all Swedish men that I know.

Yes I’m wondering why you’re here too. Tbh if the guys are really as you describe them, I would understand better that someone would do 50/50. I respect that if the man is really as invested as you say. It might be a cultural thing, because in my culture 50/50 doesn’t really exist, even with friends. Also I would feel that a man that can and wants to provide is more of a gentleman and I would be more attracted to him. But like I said it’s probably cultural, if you say that women are happy in Sweden I believe you.
