I think it's easy when you are trying to detox from gaining ego from male validation to fall into a trap of seeking it in other sneaky ways. One of those ways is trying to feel like you really stuck it to them.

I don’t know, I think there are cases where shutting someone down is better than silence that can be interpreted as not getting their message or being busy. When a pilot I used to hook up with pre-FDS who I hadn’t seen in 3 years texted me a few weeks ago that he was in my city and looking for “something fun to do” I told him to consult a travel guide. He replied “damn, cold, okay” and it honestly felt great for him to know without a doubt that I would never see his miserable ass again.

In real life I block. Here scrotes are so vile, they like to personally attack and things stay for others to see so I can't help responding sometimes. I like to point out that if they are with someone, it means that that person is so desperate to be in a relationship they even want to pay for dates and put up with other shit while people with standards wouldn't. Then they get so mad. Frustrated when facts are pointed out by a woman they deem inferior.

I think there are situations when explaining yourself or saying something witty is about desperately trying to make a good point or impression, and silence is the power move. But there are circumstances when a good comeback is somehow about self respect and power, and staying silent is weak - especially because women was expected to stay silent historically. Of course you shouldn’t explain yourself in paragraphs, but a one-liner putting a scrote to his place can be effortless and priceless. It can heal you actually, and prevent you from self-doubt and shame.

And I think it’s true in personal and professional situations as well. Sometimes the best is to leave with dignity and silence, but some situations needs bombs and firecrackers.

Actually, sometimes there are good comebacks.

One fine spring break in a popular boating cove, a guy in a passing boat stood up and yelled at our boat, “Why do doctors slap babies when they’re born? To knock the dicks off the dumb ones! Ha ha ha”

I waited a beat and calmly yelled back, “What happened with you, then?”

He stood there for a moment with a look of shock on his handsome, fuckboy face, then sat back down as everyone got a good laugh at his expense. Lol
