Matthew Hussey is a total scam artist preying on a vulnerable population like every other male youtube “relationship guru”. I cringe so hard seeing them patronizingly lecture to a sea of “lonely women”. Their advice is always pickme 101.

Also you know they’re full of shit because they clickbait every title with some variation of “how to make him fall in love with you” and then are like “haha just kidding you’ve gotta focus on yourself first” common sense bullshit. I’ve listened to a lot of their shit and it’s never helped an iota. FDS is the only thing that works.

I think he means well, but I've noticed him encouraging women to do things like basically trying to negotiate and bargain with men that have shown themselves to be low value and a waste of time, which annoys me. Like I said I think he means well but he's ultimately a man and therefore cuts men way too much slack. His advice tends to err on the side of 'men are complex and sensitive beings and you need to do XYZ for them'. Which is not helpful...but then a lot of advice for women devloves into women bobbing and weaving around mens uselessness instead of just refusing to tolerare it an move on, I have noticed.

We’ve had SEVERAL recent FDS posts in the last few months also asking this. The criticisms here of his older advice as PickMe fodder are all well taken.

My take? Hussey is an entertaining salesman who has a way with words. I like that in his more recent suggestions he tends to offer women advice to build a great life for themselves, and not have dating be so central in that great life; and that as of late he is going a bit against society’s PickMe grain (maybe he’s been reading FDS for inspiration?). I can’t think of anything he’s suggested :::within the last 12 months or so::: that would be per se anti-FDS, or like anything actively harmful to women. He finds dinner dates where you are sitting across a table for an hour to be a not-ideal way to get to know someone, but I disagree with him— I’d tell him from my perspective as an old that that’s how traditional courtships work, young man. (That said, I personally wouldn’t pay for any of his materials or seminars.)

A 100% no. I followed his advice a few times but never felt quite right about it. Some of it is pretty valid but nowadays he is very cringeworthy. I saw a video on he posted on Facebook where he was advising a girl that it was her responsibility if the guy she was seeing decided that he no longer wanted to be with her and that she didn’t need to know why or need an explanation.

I felt very angry at this because he was basically telling her that men have the right to walk away from a relationship if they want to and women just have to deal with the pain and get over it. I stopped following him after this.

And, he was dating that Camilla girl. I hope she dumped his ass. He is much older than her and it seemed more like an ego boost than a true love story to me.

I had suspicion because I found out about him when he still hasn't had a girlfriend. I guessed the woman he chose would be the most beautiful, regardless of her personality, unlike everything he preached. I was right. He's a bullshitter who can't even walk his talk.

I’m not a fan. He tells women to dress in an entirely different style every day so men “don’t get used to seeing you one way and can fantasize about you as different looking women” or something to that effect. Barf.
