Solo dining is one of my greatest joys in life as a single woman. Once I got over the initial awkwardness years ago, it was like another world opened up. That's what I miss most about my social life in the Before Times—taking myself to lunch or dinner

I would love to start doing this for myself. Do you bring a book with you? How do you pass the time in between waiting for menu/drinks/food? I really want to dress up and go out by myself sometimes, but I'm always nervous about looking like a sad person.

Yes go you! I hate how a woman enjoying her own company and the good things in life is seen as a tragic figure because she’s alone. But I LOVE it. I think there’s a reason why we get shamed for it because men are scared women will realise it’s actually pretty great to do stuff we want on our own time for US and ourselves only.

I love doing this. I particularly like drinking alone when I travel. Me, a cocktail and a sunset is just wonderful. If a man approaches, gesture to a waiter and ask them to find them a table!

I just posted about getting my license fixed that my LVX told me it would be $100,000 and he insisted he’d fix it (before he knew the price).

I was so, so happy and thought I needed him to fix my license, my life..everything. Well, guess who got their license fixed by themselves? Me! I also got my gold chain I wanted (long story of his manipulations behind that one too), as well as skates for roller derby and many, many other things he made me believe I needed him for! 🙄
