Yes, unfortunately I think this is negging. Why couldn't he just leave it at "you have a great body"? Of course he could have done. Breakups are so tough but I found it becomes easier once you start to process and really understand all the things that upset you or didnt sit right with you at the time. Hang in there 💗

I used to get hurt over things my ex said. Eventually I got to the why the hail am I listening to you over 20 other ppl who say the opposite or have never said that.

Anytime you can single out a piece of the sentence and see that you may feel crappy being told it on its own? Negging. If both or all parts of the statement on its own will lift you up and make you feel good? Not negging.
