Low value men? Shitty friends? Toxic family? Absolutely.
Was mostly thinking of a job I had once. After applying to several other places I realized it was the best I could do at the time. While with lame relationships you can always do better on your own.

Yeah, whenever Ive left a job that isn’t the best fit, I started second guessing myself and wondered if it was truly the best decision. But with relationships, as much as the breakups sucked, I don’t regret leaving but usually looked back and regretted missing red flags and not ending things earlier.

I mean I feel as if it's slightly trickier to leave jobs, I'm going to be looking for temping during my studies at UNI so I can an emergency fund incase I do get sacked... God, I wish life was not so unpredictable.

I can think of exactly one time for me, and that was leaving a job I was content with but that wasn't challenging me any more. I hated the job I moved to and spent the better part of a year regretting the move before another opportunity came up. I probably would have been able to get that second job without the first move (the hiring manager knew and respected me), so I could have spent a year bored but content rather than unhappy.
The difference with a job, though, is that pretty much everyone needs one in order to survive. Not so much with relationships. If a person in your life makes you unhappy, you'll probably be happier alone. And unless that person ensures you have food and shelter, you're not stuck with them to survive.

Yeah there's no reason to stay. If it's not a resounding yes and you know that this situation is healthy and happy. I wish I would have left sooner in 99% of situations I was on the fence. I'm even talking about friendships, I had some shitty pick-me female and male friends.

I severed contact with a very toxic immediate family member years ago and my only regret is that I didn't cut contact sooner. Much sooner.

This is the mentality I had when I was still with my abuser. I thought that I could not find a better man or that there were no better men than him. I figured out that I was wrong so I dumped that loser. Now I have a way better relationship with a man who respects me.
