When is enough enough? It’s time for women to boycott these apps.

We used to have a women-only taxi company (with ofc the drivers being only women) in my country, but they closed down a long time ago and I miss having that security.

I think women-only taxis should be a thing because it's a necessity with all the things male taxi drivers do.

I hate that Uber, despite being full of rapists, is the safer option for most women in urban areas. Without Uber, I'd have to take public transportation by myself late at night....

I submit that it’s time for women to walk away from these apps. This weekend on FDS we’ve talked about the food delivery apps being a privacy/safety issue, and we already know that the ride-share apps have a well-documented history of physical and sexual assaults occurring with these companies covering it up. The truth is, we have no idea what the real numbers are, and thus no idea of the true risks involved in using these apps. It’s clear that we can’t count on these companies to protect women from their own “employees,” let alone third-parties who chose to take advantage of our trust in these apps. So, I think it’s time for us to stop giving out our addresses and door codes; it’s time to stop getting into cars with strangers. What do you ladies think?
