Online dating is just about one of the worst ways, other than picking up random dudes in bars. I would recommend joining meetup groups for your interests, you can meet guys who share something in common with you and it’s easier to tell if they’re creepazoids than it is online

I used to go through college going to events and looking for men, it was cringe pickme behavior and I regret thinking it was better than being on OLD.

I found a HVM by chance when I left college due to the pandemic and my job shorting me hours to go back to living with my parents. Years ago I would’ve called it luck, but I was confidently choosing to leave behind things that no longer worked for me and in the mix of it all, I really found myself.

If you have that outlook even when you find a HVM it’ll be nice, like chocolates or a salon day but it’s not a deciding factor in your life, it’s not the focus, it’s just a nice little bonus. Or that’s how I see it. And just like how I’d be fine without chocolate or a salon day if they were to be cancelled I know I’d be fine with or without my bf. When you get to a level of self confidence where you’re at peace with yourself HV people in general start coming your way I’ve found.

Take up something you’ve always wanted to do or you like! Either way you’ll be happy even if you don’t find any HVM.
