Why do the men I date say this to me? It’s as a compliment of course but I take it as an insult. I let them pay for most dates but do offer on occasion... I expect regular communication and support and occasional dates out (~4x a month). I’m sort of a homebody and don’t mind nights in watching Netflix though... I eat healthily and maintain a healthy weight. I wear nice clothes and makeup every day. I do my own nails/pedicures. I have my masters degree and a well-respected job. I don’t really know how to ask men for things, it makes me uncomfortable. But I want spoiled and end up leaving all my relationships out of eventual dissatisfaction. I’m wondering if I knew how to ask for more if I could make a relationship last. Suggestions for being more “high-maintenance”? Currently in a 5 month relationship with a man who is really into me.
