I watched the first two Episodes last night. The first thing star wars i had watched since i almost walked out of The last Jedi, a movie so unbelievably bad and insulting i had almost given up, But fuck me was the Mandalorian good. Very good. It's like a fist full of dollars crossed with John Wick and dropped into space.

Oh and nobody mentioned feelings or emotions the entire time, or spoke. Just lots of shooting. Perfect.

I'm wary of this show. As it becomes popular, feminists and sjw's will infect it and make it woke garbage. It happened to Game of Thrones, Arrow, the Flash, The Walking Dead, etc.

Disney & Lucasfilm are already infected with SJW cancer so it's not a question of "if" but "when" this show becomes woke. They will not go full woke at first; I think they will use the "frog in boiling water" approach where it gets woke gradually unlike The Last Jedi which went woke abruptly thus shocking fans and turning them off.

My suspicion is this was a calculated move by Disney, to drive subscriptions to its streaming service. If the Mandalorian had started out as the usual cringey girl-power manifesto like so many other of its properties, there would have been a chunk of Star Wars fans who just wouldn't bother. So far, the only property like that which has been successful is Captain Marvel, though it can be argued that wasn't due so much to its own merits as it was being sandwiched between Infinity Wars and End Game. Those that have had to stand on their own merits have not fared so well (Ghostbusters 2016, Charlies Angels so far, etc).

By way of disclosure, I haven't seen the show nor do I have plans to do so: I'm not subscribing to a Disney Streaming Service, period, full stop. I'm pretty sick of Star Wars. Granted, I've also never been much of a Star Wars fan. I mean, some of them are ok, particularly the first one, but overall they're wildly over-rated IMO. I really don't want any more.
