Smh. I've always felt turned off by make up, especially women that wear an obvious amount, but this app really solidifies these feelings for me. I also always felt more attracted to the personalities of women who didn't need to wear it, they were generally nicer human beings.

I actually want to feel bad for these women, but how can I feel bad about something that's exposing what's not real? I mean women can say make up is real, but "make up" is just a marketing term for paint you put on your face to manipulate your appearance. It's fake. Just because it makes you feel good doesn't mean it isn't manipulation. It is what it is....That's the truth, how it feels just doesn't matter.

I recently made a post over in r/unpopularopinion about finding makeup unattractive. Unsurprisingly, the only people disagreeing with me about that assessment we're women lol. The men were all on board.

Part of my reasoning in the post was how I disliked how deceptive makeup is.

It was pretty hilarious seeing how the women in the thread tried to rationalize how it "wasn't deceptive". Really eye opening when you see their hamster wheels at work. Most of them totally ignored the OP as well -- it's like they didn't even read it.

I've been looking at lots of these pictures of before/after makeup (including real before/afters, not just makeapp) and I've noticed something. When I look at the pictures with the makeup on, my lizard brain kicks in and says "FUCK HER FUCK HER FUCK HER", it's like I automatically objectify her, but when I see the same girl with the makeup off, I think "that's just some girl" or "she's cute". The lizard brain is quiet and I feel like my interactions with the person wearing no make up would be more natural? Like an honest human to human interaction instead of a human to "goddess" or human to "fuck toy".

Does anybody else notice the same?

As much as i wanted this app to be all true and functioning, it's not.

MakeApp definitely has it's flaws as every other mobile application but the biggest problem with this is that even if you insert a face without makeup in it, the app will generate some extra pimples and wrinkles to make it look worse, so it doesn't really remove make-up, it adds a layer to make the face look worse.

Again, this is a step towards the right direction, but don't believe the hype.
