This is what irritated me to no end, and made me quit social media altogether.

For example, Facebook. I had this friend on there. Chubby girl, not particularly smart, or attractive. But she had a vagina.

She was into 'jewelry making'. In effect, what she did was purchase glass marbles and other shiny trinkets, which she'd shove on a piece of wire. Then she'd post pictures of her newest creation.

Every single time she did, a bunch of very thirtsty guys were falling over themselves to praise her, call her an artist.

Meanwhile, guys that actually did interesting, challenging things were completely ignored. Because they didn't have vagina's.

Professional expectations.

I'm a dude in my mid 30's, have an OK job that I don't hate (50k/yr with full benefits). I was recently given the chance to essentially intern in my company for a 75k/yr job at our main office. After doing it a couple months, I turned down an official offer because of the amount of stress and hours involved.

One of my female co-workers who went also turned down the job for similar reasons. When I gave my reasons why I didn't want to kill myself for this job, I was told that I'm lazy, unmotivated, and am passing up a great opportunity. When my coworker gave her explanation, she was lauded for "making a smart choice".

But what bugs me goes even further than that. It just shows how disposable males are still seen. Guys must always be willing to sacrifice themselves for their spouses, their kids, the state, and society. It's totally cool for a woman to want to stay at home, pop out a few kids, and leech off her husband. But if a guy's goal is to retire at 45 and work 15/20hrs a week for fun, he's seen as a drain and given nothing but scorn.

I read this story on this subreddit about how this 'proper' lady would report people to HR if their eyes wandered or something. The thing was that her office was next to a supply closet, she was very talkative, and there were no cameras in the area. Perfect hunting ground. I think OP said that HR was gonna start investigating her or something because she had a LOT of cases. Her latest unfortunate victim was a very kind old man who just got back from a hiatus after losing his son. His son.

OP's defense was every time she came near, he would put on sunglasses to avoid any 'misfortune'. That story made me so sick that I stopped talking to people altogether at work, as a similar accusation was thrown at me once.
