Never wanted them, which is a blessing. Might come to regret that in later life, but I doubt it.

Some kids are ok but most are annoying little shits, let's be honest. Throw a nagging wife into the mix and you're a statistic waiting to happen.

Always thought I did, now I'm in my mid 30s and feel I dodged a huge bullet not having any. Your second paragraph really hit home. I can work a simple low stress job I enjoy doing, invest the majority I make, and have enough to live a great lifestyle and retire at 50.

A wife and kids would add 20 years to that assuming I gave up my happiness to chase the career ladder. I'm good.

Why have kids when you can have the fun of being a kid your entire life. Why stare at kids all jealous of them not having a care in the world while you have to be an adult, when there’s no requirement to become one yourself.

So instead of having kids, I preferred to live life as one myself. Why should they have all the fun when I can have it? Screw those guys.

So it’s 100% winning. Why lament some kid getting to fish all day, binge watch movie franchises, play video games, or do jack shit. Do it yourself.

Leave diaper duty to boring old Karen and her simp husband.

I wanted children back when I was too young to even really understand where they came from, lol. Then when it became obvious I would never be married to anyone, the notion pretty soon went out the door entirely. I figured as well with my generally incompetent and poor arse family having left me with absolutely nothing, and my not being likely to build up enough of a fortune on my own in my lifetime to see that any child would be able to live with some freedom, the world doesn't need what amounts to anymore slaves wasting all of their time and happiness for the state or corporations just to scrape by. All of that (literal) fucking nonsense ends with me.

I got to be an uncle kinda early on... while babies and toddlers are awesome, I’d say around age 4-5, as soon as they start growing out of that cute “get away with anything “ phase... they get really annoying... just whiny little shits who still try and act cute but it’s cringy... they’re getting weird too... I cannot stand kids who try and speak like adults...

Infants and toddlers are great though... yea they whine, but they’re really cute and fun to hang out with, especially 2-3 year olds... they don’t give a fuck, I respect that lol... after that though it’s all down hill

I never at any time wanted kids. I'm now 60 and mostly retired (I do some lucrative contract work a few times a year) and I couldn't be happoier.

I'm fairly well off and have zero debt.

There's NO WAY I would be in the position I am in now if I ever got married and had kids.

No one likes to talk about it but in 30 years time humans could be fucked due to climate change, fishless oceans, plastic oceans, microplastics in fish we eat, pandemics, natural disasters, ocean levels rising due to melting ice, antibiotic resistance etc.. So I won't bother bringing a kid into this world, not to mention that kids are expensive, a pain in the arse, stressful, say good bye to your sex life and your freedom. Most kids will end up addicted to social media and just be staring on their phones all the time.

40 this year and still don't want kids, never have. When it comes to woman Its just something to pass the time for a while, they have never seemed like a good long term investment even when I was young. I actually work pretty must dead end jobs, but have never needed to get into debt ever, no drink or drug issues. I just work for a year then take as long of as possible to travel/do nothing, then start looking for work when I have less than 2 months living expenses. Sort of a drifter with a 10kg backpack, happy as can be. All the friends my age are married and miserable. It's 2020 and woman want to be independent so I don't know why they need men to look after them like they are from the 1950's.

I always wanted them, and still do and it breaks my hearth that I won't have any. I'm healthy, no indication of any health issues or sterility. I think that vasectomy is a great thing, but it's just not my thing.

It makes me wanna cry knowing that I will never have kids. As I said, I'm capable of having them (healthy and a good job), the thing is that I can't put them at risk not being rised without a father. I've been through that s#&t, and I don't want it for any other kid ever. Plus my mom didn't got devorced she got widowed, it's totaly diferent thing. She never got maried again or had a boyfriend after my father got KIA-ed. It's totally diferent story than those you can see nowadays and is still f&#ked up.

But most of my friends are divorced, paying alimony and their ex wives are blackmailing then weather they will see their kids or not. I could never take that chance, niether for me or my kids. Not with the odds nowadays.

Yeah, I never wanted kids. It was a combination of three things:

Experiencing a family and kids. I was one of four kids, and we had two unhappy parents and plenty of dysfunction. My experience of "family and kids" didn't make me feel like that was the way to go.
Call it non-conformity? Everyone else was going in the same direction -- getting married and popping out kids. I felt like I was destined for something different.
I would even put it in pseudo-religious terms: I felt called to do something different with my life.
Desire for freedom and inner life. I knew that once you had kids, your own life was over in a sense -- your plans and desires needed to take a back seat, and the bulk of your energy would be focused now on providing for them, sheltering them, and raising them well. Whatever hopes, plans, or ambitions you had for yourself would get put on the back burner. I was always a pretty inner-directed guy, and I did not want that happening.

59 now. Never had a moment's regret about it. It was the right decision for me.

I cannot express how much I do not want kids. Long story short mom decided to have a second kid with my step dad to which they constantly fucking argue about who's turn it is to spend time with him or put him down for a nap or whatever the case maybe. Not only that but they also dump him off onto me at inopportune times (class lectures which they love to do without warning). My mom wonders why I won't make her a grandma anytime soon

I never wanted a kid in this rigged system. Some of my married friends are proving me right everyday. Two of them admitted they made mistakes of getting married and having kids to me recently. Endless screaming at their houses, cranky & out-of-shape wives, expensive monthly bills, no free time at all, mental & physical health issues. Yup, I don't envy them at all. They can't even discipline their kids because laws overly protect kids. All the bullshit mainstream ways of teaching kids don't work for most kids. Any parents will agree with me. That's why so many parents send their kids to private martial arts afterschool. They rather spend more money to send their kids away as long as possible.

Right there with you. I never understood the allure of it in modern life. Even before mgtow, I saw so many crummy "parents" breed even crummier kids. Broken homes, divorce rapings, child support, 1 sunday every month visitations (completely insane), hearing the term "married life" which was never ever said happily - all part of the great breeding process. Seeing many potentially great men subject to nagging and demoralizations on a daily basis. Even if I wanted kids (which thankfully I don't. really feel bad for mgtow who want kids btw), I'd steer far away.

she decided to switch birth control w fertility pills as she was finishing her masters and well, 20 years later, i can start to work on myself again.

you can't take time for education with the load of child support.

Me. Until my ex left partly for not marrying her. She didn’t want kids when we met. Changed her mind after the split. When she began working in the medical field, her perspective changed. It took me a while to catch up, but now I see what she saw. I’d have kids, but only with her, not with anyone else

I'm one of the younger guys here. I would love to have kids, under the right circumstances. The risk is too high, especially in the west. This is the nail in the coffin. See, 60-70 years ago, sure, having kids meant a lot of responsibility and a lot of money and time spent on them, but you knew that going in, and the rest you could kinda control. You controlled how you raised your kids, who they socialized with, you could actually discipline them. Nowadays, that authority and control is lost. Completely. You do one parenting move that doesn't sit well with your wife or the Mainstream, and you're reduced to nothing more than a paycheck and labeled abusive. I was raised in a nuclear family, dad was the boss, a man's man. Reasonable and very kind, but some limits were not to be crossed, like it should be. I'm only now starting to realize how lucky I was, and even the way we were raised would be considered undisciplined for his generation. I say I wish my dad was even a little more strict. See, if I could guarantee the same circumstances for having kids that my dad had in our home country, I'd jump at the opportunity despite knowing the heavy burden. But with the burden guaranteed and the outcome practically completely out of your control as a man wanting kids, the risk is not worth it.

What really gets me, is when you ask people why they had kids, they have no real answer. You know what my folks said when I asked them that question? "Its just what you did back then".

Most people have no idea why they want to have kids... Its like following a checklist, get married, buy a house, have kids... Hoping the kids would take care of them later when they get old kinda sucks... With the way things are going, its hard to believe that living conditions would be better 20-30 years from now, that kid is probably gonna have a shitty life...

As a kid when I saw pregnancy test advertisements and they showed the couple happy I always thought that meant the test result was negative and they were relieved that they didn’t accidentally have a kid
