I am about 2 months into using Red Pill tactics in my marriage (including lifting). The books, tactics, and this forum have been very helpful, but I knew hard times were ahead because I have been tracking her period. Luckily, I was more prepared than normal for the PMS storm to hit. Here is what happened , feedback is welcome.

She gets PMS on Thursday and wants a date night for Friday. In my mind, I could sense this was a bad idea, but found a babysitter and plan for us to go out.

Friday morning, she wakes up in a horrible mood. As she is about to leave for work in the morning she yells at our oldest small child who was crying about what outfit she was wearing. As my wife is yelling at her, she also agrees to change our daughters clothes. I say something about not having to give into the kids all the time and say giving in and always saying "yes" is not what makes a good mother. Well, of course she takes that as a personal attack on her ability as a mother. She leave for work pissed.

I don't engage her all day, and she finally calls on her way home from work. I am at the gym lifting, and I already know how this will go. She threatens, like she always does on date nights, about not going out. I say we are going, and I will meet her at home when she gets the kids.

She gets home, we get dressed, and drop the kids off at my parents house. I picked a restaurant, and we go really early, before 6 p.m., and there is already an hour wait and no way to make reservations beforehand. She starts yelling about going there. I tell her I have a back up plan. She says "lets just go home."

I drive to the back up plan, and she is complaining the entire way, looking for a fight. I try and change the subject before I tell her I will not argue and will not be disrespected, and that we can have a nice night together if she wants. I again try heading the conversation back to normal.

We get to the second restaurant, and she continues to complain and makes condescending remarks to me, over and over, looking for a fight. I ignore and again say I am willing to have a nice night out if she is. Nope.

She goes into this whole tirade about how it is all about me now. How she is unhappy and I need to make her happy. How she needs loved and I don't show her love. She even threatens separation.

At this point I know I talk to much, but I tell her I only know how to make myself happy, and I am happier than I have been in a really long time (lifting, playing soccer weeknights, pursing my interests, and making my work more successful). I tell her the things I am doing for myself are for the benefit of the entire family, including her. I tell her I am not in charge of her happiness. I tell her I feel like I have been disrespected by her for a long time and I refuse to put up with it anymore.

We head home in silence and I don't pay any attention to her the rest of the night.

We wake up in silence with each other. I do, however, go about my regular day with my children and have a great time with them. I spend the day doing a lot of yard work with even the one year old helping.

I come in and shower, and tell my wife I am going to my parent's house to hang out, and she can come if she would like. She throws a fit, curses at me "fuck you" a couple of times and demands to know why I am going there. I say I am going there because I want to. She says that is not an answer. I tell her that is why I am going, the whole time she is throwing a tantrum in front of my kids, causing the oldest to cry. I try and calm down the kid and take her to my parents house to get away from my wife and hangout.

The great part is, I don't let her actions affect me when I get to my parents. Normally, I would be shitting myself thinking about all of this. I allowed myself to relax and be happy hanging out despite her actions.

I get home with dinner in hand. She meets me in the kitchen and just wraps her arms around me crying. I hold her for a good 5 minutes. Later we have great sex.

Women are strange.

In any event, I feel like in 2 months I have learned a lot and come a long way, but know that I have a lot more to learn and a lot more to experience. As the PMS fades, I expect things to get much better, but I am already bracing for the next round in about 28 days.

Just thought I would share and wonder how you deal with PMS?
