Look my man, don't get too worked up. If your math is right you don't have anything to worry about. Just make sure to tell her ZERO support without proof of paternity. Her feelings might get hurt but the fact is she was a one night stand and you very likely were not her one and only in that. I've made the mistake of sticking my dick in crazy before too. Think most guys do that at least once. Stand firm like an oak on the paternity issue but don't be a dick unless you have to.

Ok I'm currently pregnant and went through a bunch of due date drama...

If you had sex with her Feb 11, the due date should be about November 4th.

If her due date is October 22nd, the baby is likely conceived around January 29.

The method that they use to calculate due date is 40 weeks after the first day of the last period, or about 38 weeks after ovulation (fertile window/sex).

Having an ovulation 2 weeks after starting your period is not always a guarantee. BUT given that there is almost a 2 week difference between the theoretical conception time and when you had sex, that would mean that she had ovulation 4 weeks after her period started if the baby is yours... which is biologically VERY UNLIKELY. I think only women with a certain hormone disorder can ovulate that late.

If she tries to say the baby is yours, don't say anything, don't sign anything, do a DNA test when the baby's born. 99.9999% chance it won't come back as yours.

Same thing happened to me years ago. I had a great job and I slept with a girl from work who was poor. 3 weeks later she said she was pregnant. I used a condom that I bought and had on me. No way she was able to poke a hole.

In the end it wasn't mine. A lot of women especially poor women will do anything to trap a man with more money or more prospects.

It might be yours it might not be. Due dates and conception is hard to calculate. Don't admit paternity until you get a DNA test though as once it is on paper it gets a lot harder

Whatever you do, do not sign any birth docs with you as the father until you have a paternity test. If your name is on the birth certificate you're liable even if you're not the father.

Do not sign anything. Check the law about whether/how one gets prescribed legal paternity in your jurisdiction.

If legally possible do a paternity test and push off any legal admission of paternity until you have a positive paternity test result.

Not unlikely that she got knocked up (by a hobo) and then got with you to stick it on you to get your pay. It has happend before.

Check your state laws. In some states no matter what the DNA says, if she puts you on the birth certificate as the dad, then some states say "You're the Dad, buddy"

You still may be the father, even if you did use protection. If her last period stated say 18th Jan, then the due date may be 25th October...

If you used condom you should be fine. Make sure you never admit that the child is yours and make sure to let her know you cant support him financially. If its yours try taking advantage of the fact that she didn't told you she was pregnant and that you would have improved you financial situation if you knew, you could save yourself from paying solo for him but make sure to be a dad to that child.

First of all, tell her you couldn't possibly be the father because you wore a condom. If she starts making excuses about how condoms can fail (they really can't), accuse her of taking the sperm out of it when you left, or poking holes in the condom (not many women do this, obviously, but ENOUGH women do this that it's a problem).

If she denies everything & persists you are the father, get a DNA test. After all, what's the big deal (by her)? You wore a condom, you couldn't possibly be the father... UNLESS she messed with the condom, but she claims she didn't, so if she's getting offended, fuck her "feelings", and do what's right by you (and the kid).

Chances are she fucked around that time & the kid is not yours. I'll say this is the most likely scenario. Confront her about her lies & about her pushing you into fatherhood without any reason. That's not trivial behavior btw... it's manipulative & deeply disgusting.

Assuming she's a desperate, but kind soul who didn't really know what to do & didn't deliberately "trap" you into fatherhood, then be nice to her... support her struggles & if you want, you can still talk to her afterwards. But make no mistake, you are not the father & shouldn't pretend to be.

Then there's the last option. You ARE the father. Abortion isn't an option anymore & even if it was, as a man you have zero say in that anyway. So yeah, "worst case", is you're having a child. It might seem scary. Heck, it IS. Your life will change & never be the same again. But remember, it's still YOUR child & you will love that kid & make it work. There will be struggles, but kids motivate you in a way nothing else can. If the kid's yours... then I suggest you grind HARD for the next couple of months & garner as much money and resources as you can.

Don't choose the path of a dead beat dad... That's cowardice & not what the kid needs & you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice.

That only leaves you with one question... if you did wear a condom & she DID get pregnant, then she obviously did SOMETHING and she's not being honest about it.

If you're not the father (as it's likely the case), you do not want to be in that birth certificate.

As to how to prevent that from happening, a lawyer can advice you.

Should it happen, it's gonna be very bad. Even if you can prove you're not the father later, you'll still be liable.
