The GoRed campaign has come to Norway, a charitable campaign for women's health research, forcuing on "the woman's heart". I noticed red dress pins for sale with the claim "More women than men die of heart disease".

I thought, no way can that be true. According to public statistics that I found, more Norwegian men die of ischemic heart disease, and below 65 the gender difference is even more pronounced, with four men dying for every one woman.

How can they make such a claim? Am I missing something here, are there other categories of heart disease where women are similarly overrepresented? Any doctors here who can enlighten me?

Seems like a cruel thing to gender code a campaign for something like this, when there's no good reason for it.
