There aint no way a 12 y/o can force his way on a 17 y/o girl. Also reading the article I saw that the girl wasnt willing to complaint against him, the 'all-women police team' 'counselled' her into doing that.
I m Indian and I m pretty sure the boy wasnt guilty of anything here, they r just forcing the girl and making up the case for the glory of an all women police force. I wont say anything about the girl bcoz it is very possible that she is being forced by the police too.

This is just dumb. They arrested a 12 year old boy under POCSO because he impregnated a 17 year old girl. In short they arrested a young child because he impregnated an older child.

If it's true that a 12 year old boy is brave enough to rape a girl 5 years older than him and girl is not able to defend herself from getting raped by a boy 5 years younger and much weaker than her then the parents of both the children have failed in raising their kids properly.

I feel like the 17 year old girl is the one to be blamed here since she is older and probably convinced the boy to have sex with her. At 12 I don't think the boy has even hit puberty and if so then he can't be the father because he has no sperms. Authorities should match the dna samples to see if the boy really is the father.

I think that the girl is blaming a 12 year old for impregnating her while her real boyfriend who is the same age as her or older is hiding somewhere to not face charges.

I'm not saying that a 12 year old boy is a saint and does not know what sex is, all I'm saying is that it's highly unlikely that it was him who raped the girl whereas the other way around sounds muh more likely.

I don't know what to say but the logic is just flawed. According to the act (POCSO) it protects "children" from sexual offences but in this case they arrested the literal child. A 17 year old is legally underage and considered a child but is still much more older and mentally mature than a 12 year old. In this case they just arrested the victim. Then again who am I to say anything, all I hope is that our country doesn't get stupider as we progress further.
