Wanted to share a quick story that irks me:

I was volunteering with a group, my friend brought his son & asked me to watch him for a bit. We were the only 3 males in the group. The kid started feeling exhausted so the ladies of the group turned into mother-mode & started offering advice/medication/etc. I gave the lil dude some water & space like a rational person & he was better..

Another lady we had just met asked if she could watch him, I told him "that's alright, he's fine", she insisted again to which I said, "that's okay, thank you".

Men, just like women, are naturally capable caretakers. We need to stop collectively demonizing men for being around children, or they will grow up & contribute to the cycle of 'toxic masculinity'.
