I'll repost what got me banned from TRP.

Here's the deal. Men's rights, TRP, and others shine light on stories of terrible divorces and horror stories. They do so for valid reasons, there are legitimate issues with our current system. It is a good thing to share these stories and talk about them, and to also try to change the system. But if you spend enough time with this stuff it can make you jaded and bitter. It's like police officers who only see the worst on humanity. Or when I, as a motorcyclist would occasionally stumble upon some crash compilation videos. Watch enough guys on motorcycles get slammed by a truck and you would never want to ride again. But the reality is that all activities have risks and rewards, and several subs tend to focus way too much on the risks. So I rode that bike knowing that it could be dangerous, and I protected myself the best that I could. And I knew that I could always get blindsided, but that was better than not riding.

Don't forget, if half of all marriages end in divorce, the other half don't. Nobody hears about the happy married couples because its not newsworthy. Find a good woman. One that won't crave a divorce, or scheme for one, of cheat on you. They do exist, wether you want to believe it or not (and somehow I don't expect you to believe it).

I think you're only looking at half the picture. Marriage is just as much of a scam for men these days. You're best off, if you want children, either adopting by yourself or perhaps saving money for surrogacy. Even if you found the perfect woman, the State has given her a gun and anyone who truly loves you would not enter into a relationship where that will always be between you.

Yup, I totally agree, my Son is 16 and it won't be long before he's no longer my financial responsibility. I don't want any more children and I certainly don't plan on ever getting married again. The idea of accidentally getting someone pregnant with the zero reproductive rights that I have has put me in a position where I don't even want to have casual relationships with women any more; the risk is just too great. Maybe that will change if the male pill finally happens.

I think you need to get out and meet some real women. Not everyone is crazy, in fact I have only me ONE girl who I would consider crazy.

You are on the right track man. That would be a smart move. But be sure to have a good idea on how many kids you may want in the future. One deposit does not always equal one kid withdraw.

Your reproductive choices are up to you. It's not how I would do it, but I think you've pointed out an alternative that many men would get behind if they could afford it.

Maybe making such a thing affordable to more men could/should be a focus, perhaps. Have you done any investigation into what the costs of storing sperm, getting a vasectomy, and subsequent invitro fertilization might be?

Bud, this subreddit focuses on the worst and like others have said don't let that jade yoru opinion. I have known guys in the service that have been played or some one tried to, but its a very small percentage of it. Be safe, use a condom or spermacide lube and trust your partners before you sleep with them, you may pick up something you can't get rid if yoru not careful, and I am not talking about kids.

Don't even bother saving the sperm. Children are just a waste of time and money. If you ever do want a kid, just adopt one.

Around 4% of women in the US receive child support. Less than .4% receive alimony. Obviously the women who intentionally con men into pregnancy/marriage in order to get these things are a very small percentage of those overall. Your far more likely to get into a car accident this year than getting tricked into becoming a father at some point in your life. You won't stop driving places because of it, I assume?

It's not the epidemic it's sometimes made out to be in this sub. Don't let it ruin anything for you. Just be safe and try to find partners with similar beliefs and goals for the future.

I am paranoid too but not because of this sub, because of a real life experience of almost having my life ruined by a false DV accusation.

Many of us on this sub are here because of god awful real life experiences, the kind that make you realize there are far, far worse things in life than solitude and that the risk of involving ourselves with women may simply not be worth the reward.

I can totally understand how this subreddit has made you paranoid as fuck as it has done the same for me. I don't think that I'm as worried about an unwanted pregnancy as I am with an ex-wife demanding alimony from me (which has an easy fix; don't get married) or from a false rape report. I can only give advice for the ladder of the two issues. Always record your conversations and actions with women that you want to hook up with. Invest in secret camera devices that record video and audio of the events prior to having sex and make sure that you guard these recording with your life, because you're going to need them if the woman cries rape.

As far as not wanting to pay child support goes, I say do what it takes to protect yourself. Continue using your condoms and fight as hard as ever so that we can finally have the male birth control pill out there on the market.
